Something Clever began in April, 2011, in Mooresville North Carolina, as five talented musicians came together to produce a powerful, straightforward, original sound. Although the band and its players are young, they have the talent and showmanship to rival bands that have been performing for years. Their energetic and professional live performances bring them to a higher level than an ordinary youth band. The band has been musically influenced by such entertainers such as Chevelle, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Sick Puppies, and Breaking Benjamin. Something Clever is quickly building a large fan base around Charlotte and are getting ready to release an E.P. length original album entitled “Walk Away”. Something Clever has custom lighting and an impressive sound system to match their energy and pounding stage presence.
By September, 2011, Something Clever had recorded their first single “Imperfections,” and in November, 106.5 The End featured Something Clever on the air. Performance venues have included Amos’ Southend, The Double Door Inn, Tremont Music Hall, The Chop Shop, as well as concert venues including The Taste of Charlotte 2011. Their fan base includes the most faithful and supportive, and just keeps growing as Something Clever continues to drive the music scene around Charlotte!
