TO LIE OR NOT TO LIE

We commented today on the show about a bill that would make it illegal for veterans to lie about their time at war as far as accomplishments, duties, etc. "Stolen Valor" is what it's called. My deal is on one hand if someone was over there who are we to question what happened. On the other hand, does it matter that someone lied about what happened? It's a great story and as long as I didn't have to go serve, I don't really care what they lied about. Maybe it's not a lie at all; I don't really think it's my place, or anyone else's, to question the service of anyone in our military; though there are some that say that since they fight for our freedom, they open themselves up to criticism from the very ones they fight for. Who knows, we will see if this bill passes or not but if it did, it wouldn't suprise me at all. Lets let people have their stories, they went and sacrificed why should we dissect every little aspect?
