So Valentine's Day was really nice. I can't remember when the studio was that full of testosterone.
Today we had the Mile of Meat. The "Meat" were single guys who were looking to find a date for Valentine's Day. The men each had a sign with a number on them. The interested women had to text the number into to the station. I think #8 got the most texts. They were all hotties. Jeff got to be a Chipendale Wrestler for the day. I made the paper cuffs for him to complete his outfit. |

I thought the whole half time show was nice and family friendly. Madonna did a good job. I liked the Vogue stage. Cee Lo Green was awesome. I didn't hear the bleepand didn't see M.I.A. flip anyone off. It must have been a very subtle gesture, because I didn't even notice it. Can anyone really top Janet Jackson's nasty booby stunt? |

I immediately pictured Steve Martin's Character in Little Shop of Horrors, the sadistic dentist. This character took pleasure in hurting his patients. But, of all of the things that can be particularly painful, is a root canal. I could not fathom the pain that his patients endured. I had some painful dental work done earlier this week. Last night, as I brushed my "Dr Ayers" teeth, I had a flash back of my own bad dental experience. I ended up going to a (BAD) dentist when I first moved here. Someone referred me to this guy. Hell, I didn't know any better. He didn't put a filling in properly. To make a long horrible story short, Dr. Ayers fixed all of my bad dental mistakes. I wouldn't go to any other dentist now. Holy crap, if someone put a paper clip in me………? I was in so much pain that, I would have given myself the Novocain. I couldn't imagine how anyone can be so cruel. |

I have loved the 49ers since the 80's with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. There is nothing more exciting than seeing the 9ers play live at the Stick. But, since I am in South Carolina, I watched it on TV. I sat on the edge of my seat when the game went into overtime. I took the dogs out and went to the bathroom during the commercials. It was torture!! My husband yelled at the TV. "The refs are stupid and blind." It doesn't matter who is playing, he cusses out the referees. Then, it happened! Oh the agony of losing. The final score was 20-17. We lost…. …….. Boooooooooooo.
I am still proud of the 49ers. We made it to the playoffs!

Vinyl is making a comeback. Vinyl records just set a modern record for most the most sales for their fourth year. I hate that I gave my records away. What I like about vinyl recording, is that the sound has flawed authenticity. I like to hear the cracks and pops. I love the squeak of a guitar string. On a vinyl record, the sound of the music isn't over produced. Some people think that mp3's have ruined the music industry. I think that could be true. I am just like my husband. The crazed Georgia fan. I was one of those screaming football fans, while watching the 49ers game on Saturday. Vernon Davis' amazing 47 yard catch in the fourth quarter. Davis won the game three plays later, after a 14 yard touchdown grab, with seconds left in the game. The "Catch" was awesome. Win over the Saints! I am excited about the game with NY at the Stick, Jan 22nd! Go 49ers. |

Hopefully, this week will be better than the last. Last week, it all started to go downhill on Tuesday. I went home and found an eviction notice on my door. I own my home. The eviction notice was put there by mistake. The notice was addressed to my neighbor who lives four doors down. I called the judges office and told them about the error. Really, how can you foreclose or evict someone, if you can't figure out where they live? I was told that everyone makes mistakes. Yes, that is very true. When you are serving an order by the court, you shouldn't make mistakes. You are making someone homeless. Or, in my case, making my neighbors think that I am a not paying my bills. No one apologized. I get to go to my home owners meeting tonight. Wish me luck. |
