The study found that reducing smoking and the use of other tobacco products -- even those nicotine replacement products and exposure to secondhand smoke -- could curb addiction to other addictive substances. including cocaine.
The research has caused the scientific community to wonder if being concerned so much about marijuana as a gateway drug, was such a good idea. Furthermore, they should have studied the addiction to cigarettes instead. More people in this Country are addicted to nicoctine. Nicotine is a harmful drug that causes death. This study makes complete sense.
