WOW! What a crazy six weeks of NFL Football so far. Look at the AFC East, every team is tied at 3-3, obviously you don't bet against the Patriots and I think they win that division still, but the Jets to be so bad on offense and be this close, hey they could be a lot worse off. I love my Raiders but the AFC West still proves to be the worst division in the NFL still, but anytime you are in a division with the annually overrated San Diego Chargers, it's gonna be a down time.

The NFC West isn't at the bottom anymore, three teams are 4-2 and two of them face off on Thursday night. The Falcons are 6-0 but should be 4-2, since they hit a couple last second field goals in two games, I don't know how good they are but they have found ways to win so I guess that's all that matters, good news for the Falcons is they can win 4 more games and win that division most likely, probably already won it really. We will see what happens but I still think my Super Bowl picks of Philly and Pittsburgh can still happen but both teams need to get better on Defense first.

I gotta say, I wasn't too impressed with the football action this weekend. So much so that I watched a little bit of English Premier League Soccer to see some excitement. Clemson winning this weekend was the only bright spot for me. I was looking forward to Georgia and South Carolina being a great game but it was a lopsided matchup of total dominance by the Gamecocks. Honestly, next weekend doesn't shape up to be that great either. South Carolina will go to LSU and most likely win that game big and Clemson is off so I'm already scouring the channels for other games, lol.

NFL wise, there just weren't any good matchups this weekend, except for Steelers and Eagles that neither network decided to show, which was disappointing. I guess the nation was begging for Browns vs Giants, in a game that suprisingly started good, but ended in typical fashion for the Browns. Tonight can save it though, Jets and Texans should be a great matchup and Thursday night's Steelers Titans looks to be a good one as well; thank god, we need a couple good ones to start next week off right.

October is finally here, thank God. Some great football matchups this past weekend kept me glued to my tv. I thought Kentucky was going to pull it out but new they wouldn't have any staying power in the second half; and I thought Clemson would have won by a lot more than they did, but a win is a win and all of them help. The road gets tougher for Clemson and South Carolina, especially the latter this week since they have Georgia at home. I'm excited to see what is going to happen there, I don't expect a line to be more than 2.5-3 . Baseball playoffs start this week and I'm excited to see what Chipper and the Braves are gonna do in his sendoff season. I feel old, I remember watching Chipper play in Greenville, I almost cried when Griffey retired, it's hard to see your child hood heroes you grew up with leave the game. Is it Saturday yet? lets get it going and play some ball.
